To be honest I am guilty of sucking it dry.

The Twitter thing annoys me - it wont make anyone aware of new brands; and with the limit on characters most people are using tiny urls, which people always seem cautious to click on.

(And rightly so.)

Mr tommy was kind enough to leave spam in comment. I got this comment on 2 of my blogs as well. Unfortunately your system probably approved it.

Now coming to the post. I recently read that Dell made millions of dollars of sales with twitter. I would say it's made 'via twitter', they would have got most of those sales anyway.

For small business having a social networking identity and making it a popular brand is not easy and many businesses are just wasting their time and money on social networks / media. They should either hire experts with proven results or invest with a tight control on results they are getting from this investment.
