As you know, Invesp are experts at conversion rate optimization, but here are five techniques you can use to boost your own conversion rates today!

The key to improving conversion rates, other than split-testing and paying an expert to come in, is to get an insight into your prosepcts thoughts. Here are some ways to get inside your prospect’s head:

  1. Use a send to friend plugin that allows visitors to send personalized messages to the recipient. Read the notes to find out what your readers find compelling, and insights into the main selling points of your content. You can also use your prospects actual wording in your copy so your phrasing matches your target audience exactly.
  2. Observe prospects and customers using your website and ask them what they are looking at, why, and how they got there. Give them missions to perform, or just ask them to surf around and tell you what they find interesting or frustrating.
  3. Use click-tracking software such as CrazyEgg and ClickTale. These tell you where people click most and least, creating videos or heat maps. You can see where you are guiding reader attention and any “black holes” that get ignored.
  4. Create a survey and ask!
  5. Offer competitors’ products as an affiliate and see what your audience wants to buy and what turns them off. This will give you an indication of your competitor’s conversion rates as a comparison.

I really like the send to friend type efforts. People really use this to spread the word about a product or even a blog post. You can also use it as a website owner to help the effort.

Nice ideas specially points 1,4 and 5. For click tracking I use Google analytics to know which pages are most hit. But one thing is clear and that is your service and its uniqueness…

Anyway let me start with points 1,4 and 5 and let see if it increases my conversions..

Thanks
