		<description>Very interesting. The space in the top navigation bar is limited. That is the reason you have to pay close attention to how your structure your categories. Having more than 10 categories in the top level can be overwhelming.</description>

		<description>Excellant article. I have thought about this exact issue many times. I use left hand navigation on my site now. On the category pages, left hand navigation, no problem. But I am now adding item pages. 

On my item pages, I then which to breadcrumb navigation. I simply run out of room on the page, by trying to keep everything inside 800X600, screen.

I am seeing many sites now abbanding the 800X600 format, without scroll bars showing up.

I know changing my website navigation from left hand to breadcrumb is not good but I do not know what else to do. Abbandon 800X600 screen size and use left hand navigation on my item pages or keep 800X600 and use breadcrumb navigation.

I would love to here someone opinion on this exact issue.
