We focused so much on mybloglog during the summer but it seems that the service does not have same flare it had once. Steve discusses how to use MyBlogLog as a branding tool

Would you post a low quality article or rather not blog, when running out of ideas? I would say you shouldn’t. But what do you think?

I lost track of the number of social media/networking sites. Here it is; the count is up 233 social media websites!

What your price? okay, maybe I should ask what is the price for your blog?

How much does your content engage visitor? should I even ask that?

Thanks for the link Khalid as well as pointing me to some other good posts.

The question of posting a low quality post or not post at all is an interesting one. I think it depends on how your defining quality and what you’re comparing it to in order to determine it’s low quality.

On some blogs a low quality post is still far better than the high quality post on another.

I’ve certainly had my share of posts written on a night that the words and ideas weren’t flowing that could have been better. It would have been easy to skip writing them. Surprisingly some posts I thought weren’t all that great are the ones that have gotten the most attention and links.

Other posts I thought were very high quality never went anywhere.

We aren’t always the best judge when it comes to assessing our own quality.

Does that mean you should post just for the sake of posting? Absolutely not. But I think it’s ok to mix in the occasional lower quality post. It might not be as low quality as you think.

Post for the readers. If it’s not going to be good quality, then I think the readers are willing to wait for a quality post.

You seem like you know a lot about blogs. I have a questions if you may be kind to answer.
Any thoughts on blog directories such as my blog log and RSS issues? Blogger seems to only allow me to set my rss to full instead of short, which means my entire post is shown on directories such as my blog log via rss so the 436 readers I have there never venture on to the site which results in 1,200 to 1,600 off site clicks that blog never gets credit for at just at this one directory location. :( Any thoughts on a solution? Thank you again and if this comment is too long just delete me :)
I will still love you anyway.

Steven, you bring up a good point. Too many times, I post something thinking that our readers would love it and nothing happens. Other times, I post something late at night and the response to it is great. A good example of that is Chris’s post titled can a website have charisma. When I first read the post, to be honest, I did not like it. But the response to it was great. The post almost made it to the popular section on digg. I learned to let the readers judge.

Of course the golden rule is to avoid posting for the sake of posting.
