Have you considered running Teleseminars to promote your business?
While you might be hesitant for a number of reasons, the benefits could be profound …
I have been a guest on many teleseminars over the years but the first proper event that I ran myself was very recently. This was a sponsored event to raise money for charity, so I had an advantage over many companies in that all the costs were covered and I just had to make the event go smoothly. While I was nervous, especially around being in the driving seat of the webinar service, working the other side of the call taught me some insights into these types of projects and the rewards your business can gain.
Just some of the benefits include:
- Authority by Association – You might not be an expert yourself, but by getting experts on your call makes you look more authoritative by association
- Learn while teaching – Presenting a teleseminar can help you learn. You need to prepare and research, plus explaining a subject to others clarifies ideas in your own mind.
- Event anticipation – By creating anticipation you involve your audience more and generate stickiness
- Testimonials and endorsements – A third party compliment is incredibly persuasive, so get experts to interview and introduce you
- Access to new audiences - Partners in a Teleseminar will bring along their own audience, a great way to tap into overlapping tribes
- Grow a prospect list – Teleconferences are a good way to generate prospects through personality, content and good call to actions
- Make money directly – These calls do not have to be free, you can make a good profit by charging for attendance
- Create buzz – If your topic is exciting and compelling, or if the recordings and downloads spread virally, the buzz becomes cumulative
- Re-purpose content – Once the recording is done, get it transcribed and you can create three products; the mp3 audio, the PDF of the transcript, and the slides. Combine the slides with the audio and you can create video. All valued by customers and subscribers.
There is a low technical and cost barrier to getting started to try it. It might mean a whole new channel and profit center for your business.
