Meet Our team

The INVESP team comes from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.  Each individual has something unique to contribute.  The combination of our skill sets gives us an edge over any competition.

Ayat Shukairy serves as creative director for INVESP consulting. Ayat leads all creative aspects with any project engagement. She earned a Bachelors Degree in education with English specialization from Oakland University. Ayat published several articles and writes regular blogs for INVESP.  


Mae Allam is the marketing director for INVESP consulting. She is currently completing her Master’s in Business Administration at the Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Business Administration from Wayne State University. As a part of her current curriculum, Mae has been involved in numerous consultation projects in the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek area in Michigan. These projects include helping local businesses with business plans, marketing plans, process management and improvement in addition to a variety of other consultations depending on the needs of the business.


Reem Shukairy is a graduate of the University of Michigan-Dearborn with a major in Biology.  She has worked with several non-profit organizations in the Michigan area.  Currently she is a member of the INVESP sales team.

Gina Makkar is a graduate of the Professional Writing and Communications program at the University of Toronto. Her first book, My Mary Janes, was published by Life Rattle Press in 2005. She's developed content for websites sponsored by Heritage Canada and the Standards Council of Canada. Recently, she became a co-editor of the primary textbook for the University of Toronto writing program.

Deanna Othman is a journalist From Chicago, Illinois. She holds a Bachelors degree in English and International Studies, and a Masters in journalism, with a concentration in magazine publishing, both from Northwestern University. She has written for newspapers including the Daily Herald, and has covered topics from business to education. She has also worked on a magazine launch, and prepared promotional materials including brochures, guidebooks, newsletters and media kits.

Bayan Khatib is a graduate of the University of Toronto with a degree in English and Professional Writing and Communication. She has worked as a freelance writer and editor for two years and has published several articles and stories in print and on the radio.

Amal Sweilem graduated with honors from the University of South Florida with a Bachelors degree in Communications. She wrote for the university paper as a staff writer. She has also submitted freelance articles to various newspapers and magazines such as The American Muslim Magazine, The Tampa Tribune, The St. Pete Times and The USF Oracle.  She is currently working as a writer for INVESP.

 

Carol Stigger is a senior communications consultant with INVESP. She has worked as a freelance writer, communications consultant, and writing teacher since 1985. She has served as a Director of Communications and Manager of Publications/Public Relations for various organizations for over 10 years. She has written over 50 grants for a number of organizations such as Chicago Lighthouse, Geneva Global, Inc., Mayflower tours and many more.
